Early in my career I had a major disagreement with my boss over a major role I was playing without being adequately compensated. She told me I needed the qualifications. I vowed to never let that be an issue ever again. Today my qualifications include a Doctorate, 2 Masters, Bachelors, Professional and Master Coaching Certifications.

I now use that experience to drive leaders to become their best possible self to achieve Success as they define it.

About Me

Dr Shelly is founder of The Global Coaching Corner and has 20+ years in Global HR strategic Leadership coaching C-Suite and multi-generational professionals. Through more than a decade’s work with a major international pharmaceutical company, she honed her people management skills through her work across the Caribbean islands collaborating with the Latin American region. These days her work includes coaching developing leaders in Canada, the USA, Trinidad, Guyana, Jamaica and more.

She has a strong record of accomplishment in diverse industries. She is a published Author, Accredited Master Coach with Doctorate in Organizational Leadership, Masters Health Administration, and Masters HR Management. Through her Phenomenological study conducted with Nova Southeastern University and published in the Journal of American Academy of Business Cambridge (JAABC) she explored the leadership strategies of successful Caribbean American leaders.

She has published books on leadership, career development, success, motivation and inspiration and is a member of the South Florida Authors of Color and Florida Writers Association.

Dr. Shelly served 4 terms as Vice President & Board Member Hospitality & HR Association (HHRABC), Florida and serves on the Program board of The Institute of Caribbean Studies, Washington DC. She is a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF), ICF South Florida Chapter and the Society for HR Management (SHRM).
